Luceplan selected for the exhibition SustainabItaly in Miami

Illan by Zsuzsanna Horvath has been selected for the exhibition SustainabItaly, at the Wolfsonian Museum in Miami from 4/12/2021 to 4/02/2022

The exhibition “SustainabItaly” sets out to examine Italian design and its focus on the issues of sustainability. One hundred years after the birth of industrial design, which emerged starting in the 1920s thanks to principles of interaction of “form” and “function,” a new characteristic comes into play in the assessment of good design: “sustainability.” The title combines the two objectives of the works on display, namely Italian character and sustainability, avoiding self-satisfied attitudes to move in the direction of a new identity for Italian design.

Curated by Luisa Bocchietto, the exhibition will be held at the Wolfsonian Museum in Miami from 4 December 2021 to 4 February 2022. The opening coincides with Art Basel Miami, famous as an extraordinary moment of gathering for the design sector, during which many initiatives of a cultural character are organized in the city.

The curator has selected the Illan suspension lamp designed by Zsuzsanna Horvath for Luceplan, precisely for its orientation that bases the entire project on the principles of sustainability.
